Mega Tech is a maker of voice
recognition software. Their first product, VoiceMagic for Mac, was a
breakthrough product in their market niche. They have basic project
management practices in place that enabled them successfully port their
product to Windows and Linux platforms. Their most recent product,
VoiceWizard, was released on the scheduled release date with no delays.
After the release, Harold Jackson, the chief product manager was
assigned to write a document describing how he organizes and manages
their software development activities. Sheila McKinley, the QA manager,
is in the process of standardizing the format for all deliverable
documents (like User Manuals). At a recent meeting of engineers,
they reported that they were very happy with the results of using CRC
cards during their analysis modeling, and decided that all future
projects will use the CRC method.
