2010 Program Details

The 2010 ICEX program will include an 8-day trip to Norway in which engineering students will prepare an underwater robot education and research curriculum in support of the NORUS initiative - whose scientific focus is to determine how climate-induced changes impact the living resources and ecosystems in the Arctic. The trip is scheduled to take place during the last week of March. For more details on the goals of the NORUS program and the technology involved, see the NORUS web site.

Program Fees:
Students are required to pay $500 (non-refundable after January 30, 2010) for participation in the program. The Cal Poly Instructional Related Activities (IRA) has provided funds to cover the majority of expenses for the program (i.e. airfare from LAX to Norway, vehicle rental, food, insurance). Accommodations will be provided by the Norway partner.
