1.    Write a one to three page (single spaced) reaction to the pieces from Jackson's book on Requirements: p. 193 "Specifications," p. 169 "Requirements," p. 206 "What and How." Write a simple abstract of his major points, then analyze them with respect to your own knowledge and experience (and other authors, like whoever taught you CSC 205 / 206). A summary of the articles is patently insufficient, I want to see that you did read carefully, and that you can think about his major points in your own way.

2.    (To be put into your journals, not turned in as the "reaction paper" above - in your Journals on Monday, 28 Oct.) Explain why you might want to bring project risks out into the open (early) for your client and other developers to see and think about.  If you don't believe you ought to bring risks out into the open early, carefully explain why (and in what circumstances).
