CSC
508 is
the first in a two term sequence of Software Engineering courses
designed for graduate students. This course is run seminar
style
and will involve critical analysis of current research in the
field. The student is expected to voluntarily participate at
a
high level in class activities. The main deliverable is a
publishable quality research paper with substantial content.
NOTE: CSC
509 will only run next term if there is sufficient demand (these are
hard budget times. If you are really intent on completing a
two course sequence in Software Engineering at this level, recommend
the next in the sequence, CSC 509, to other students and make your
intention known to the instructor as soon as possible. CSC 508 is not an absolute
prerequisite to CSC 509 and Dr. Turner will work with students who
desire to take a graduate level Software Engineering course but don't
know if they are qualified.
