Project 2 Milestone 3
In this final milestone of Project 2, your team should complete the product, an advertisement, a presentation, and a brief paper. See these suggestions for working as a team.
Deliverables
- Create a page for your project under the Project 2 Milestone 3 page.
- Create a web advertisement for your Android app. At a minimum, your ad should include a description of your app, appropriate graphics,
and at least one screen shot of each screen of your app.
Place these artifacts on the Project 2 page created in the last step.
- Write a report (four pages max, single spaced, 12-point font) using proper English (complete sentences, paragraphs, good grammar/spelling) that addresses the following:
- Overview: give a user-level overview of your app
- Scope Changes: what did you complete?, what did you not complete that you intended to complete as of Milestone 1?
- Technical Design: how is your app organized? Include at least one diagram. Explain what Android components were used (e.g. Activities, Services, SharedPreferences, OpenGL) and how they work together.
- Successes: what went well (e.g. tools, learning Android concepts, team dynamics, work distribution, technical aspects)
- Challenges: what did not go well (e.g. tools, learning Android concepts, team dynamics, work distribution, technical aspects)
- Hand in a printed copy of your report on the due date.
- Prepare a fifteen minute presentation to be given in class on the due date. Think of this as a public product announcement.
Show us what the apps does, explain how the implementation is organized (e.g. diagram of components), and tell us about your experience building it (what was hard, what was fun, what team strategies worked).
You should prepare no more than five slides . Show your e-portfolio Project 2 Ad page. Be sure your Project 2 page on your portfolio is readable
with the projector. Avoid things like colored text on dark backgrounds. Practice your presentation. All team members must talk.
- Everyone should complete the self/peer assessment form that will be handed out in class. This is an individual assignment.
- Upload a zip of your entire Eclipse project to the Digital Dropbox in Blackboard.
