Project 1 Brainstorming

• Work as a team in groups of about six - if you know you want to work with someone on the project, make sure you are at the same table
• Assign one person as a timekeeper, one person as a scribe
• Go around the table, allowing each person to share an idea for an app, drawing on the board as necessary
• The scribe should write the person's name and idea on the board
• The timekeeper should make sure that the team spends no more than 10 minutes per person's idea
• The others around the table (including the scribe and timekeeper) can/should:
• ask questions to make sure they understand the idea
• add ideas that might improve the original idea
• share concerns - what might be awkward or confusing for the user? what might be impossible to build with a phone?
• If time, allow anyone to share a second idea in the same way
• Quickly create a weekly calendar on the board. Have everyone add their names to blocks of time when they would be available to work with a partner on this project
• In the final 10 minutes, choose a partner and possibly an idea for project 1 - be sure to exchange contact information and set a time to meet and get started on the project
