CSC/CPE 405 Final Exam Study Guide

  1. The final exam will be an in-class, written exam.
  2. You should bring a pencil and eraser.
  3. You may not use any study aids during the exam. For instance, books, notes, friends, phones, computers will not be allowed.
  4. The exam will contain multiple choice, fill-in-the-blank, and short answer questions. You may also be asked to create diagrams or coding artifacts. Questions will vary from very technical to very abstract.
  5. You may be asked to answer questions regarding reading assignments from the course texts and articles/resources posted on the course schedule. In particular, you should be familiar with the concepts of each assigned reading section, and some particulars (e.g. Law of Demeter, Hawthorne Effect). Pay special attention to topics highlighted in class discussions.
  6. You may be asked to answer questions regarding student presentations. In particular, you should be able to describe and discuss each of the design patterns and metrics presented. However, you are not likely to be asked to give details of how to calculate particular metrics.
  7. You may be asked questions regarding the course project including topics such as (but not limited to) process, organization, domain (SDI and well drilling), tools used, technology (e.g. Django, Ruby on Rails, Javascript,...). You will not be responsible for technologies not used by your team.
  8. You may be asked questions regarding material presented during lecture and lab.
