Homework #1

Due on Monday, April 29, 1996

Useful Operating Systems Concepts

In this homework, I would like to find out which of the concepts you learned about in class (e.g.~process scheduling, synchronization, deadlock, memory management, etc.) have been useful to you, either at work / school, or for your private computing activities. Describe three of these Operating Systems concepts, and why it was useful for you to have learned something about them. This is the last homework of this class, and earns you 6 points out of the 100 for the whole class.
