COMP 346 Homework Assignments, Winter 2000

For this course, there are three theoretical TA-1 -- TA-3, and three practical (programming) assignments PA-1 -- PA-3. According to the schedule, the theoretical assignments contribute 15 percent to the overall grade, the practical ones 20 percent. For the theoretical assignments, the following weights have been assigned: TA-1: 4%; TA-2: 5%; TA-3: 6%, for a total of 15%. The weights for the programming assignments are as follows: PA-1: 6%; PA-2: 6%; PA-3: 8%, for a total of 15%. Usually, there will be 100 points for one assignment, and the points per question will be given in the assignment. Here are pointers to the assignments; you can also access them through the course schedule, which contains the deadlines for the assignments.

Submission

Usually homework assignments are due two weeks after the assignment has been handed out. Unless stated otherwise, assignments must be handed in as a paper copy before or after class. For the programming assignments, more specific instructions will be provided.

Late Assignments

Assignments handed in after the deadline will be assessed a penalty of 10% per business day.
