CPE/CSC 481-W05 Knowledge-Based Systems Assignment 3: Overview

Status Draft
Points25
DeadlineMar 3

Topic

The goal of this assignment is to demonstrate your skills in the area of knowledge-based systems. You can select one of the topics identified below, or suggest a topic of your own choice, and have it approved by me. While the topic may be related to the team project, the assignment must be clearly distinct from your work on the project.

Submission

Unless stated otherwise in the specific description for the individual topics, this assignment must be submitted electronically via the handin program on hornet to the grade480 account. Please make sure that you have a functioning account on hornet. Use "handin grade480 A3 filename" to submit a file. To check if your file is there, omit the filename, and you'll see a listing of already submitted files. Follow this link for further directions.

In general, you must submit items listed below. More specific details may be given in the topic-specific description.

  1. The source code for your program.
  2. All files required to run the program. If your program assumes the presence of libraries or other files, make sure to state that in the README file.
  3. A README file documenting the workings of your agent, and any known limitations. You can also put the documentation into separate files; if you do that, state it in the README file.

Grading

I will use the following general grading guidelines; more specific ones may be provided with the respective topic:

  1. 15 points for the overall design and implementation
  2. 5 points for the test runs or other evidence that demonstrates the functionality of the system
  3. 5 points for the README file and documentation of the design and source code
