The characterization of the approaches is separated into the following three parts:
- Technical criteria according to the components of the framework, which are developed to characterize any kind of approach in the wide field of knowledge management.
- Independent technical criteria that do not belong to any of the framework components but describe other important properties of the approach. These are, on the one hand, meta attributes like the kind of the approach or its main purpose and, on the other hand, information about practical skills like scalability, flexibility, and features for customizations.
- General information to describe where an interested person can get more detailed information, how s/he can get in contact with you, etc.
