Master Grade is a program designed to manage grading, attendance, and seating arrangements. There are versions for both Windows and Mac. The most interesting features are for grading assignments and setting curves, but lacks in visual appeal.

Good Features:

• User Interface
  • Easy and mostly intuitive to navigate the program
• Assignments
  • Allows full control of the grade curve
  • Allows special properties for assignments (Extra Credit, Not Handed In)
  • Can create categories for assignments (such as Midterm, Final, Labs, Homework...) and weight each category for the final grade
  • Adjust the weight of individual assignments or category

Bad Features:

• Assignments
  • Can only set the curve by percent grade to letter grade (cannot indicate that 15% of the students should get A’s, for example).

Missing Features:

• No collapsable assignments on spreadsheet
• No histogram or other graph representation of data
• No way to log in as a student
• Compare trend of previous class’s grades
• No support for late policies
• No student grade prediction
