TeacherPlus Web Gradebook is a web-based grading application that is part of Rediker’s Administrator Plus package of software. It provides a well-integrated method of recording grades and sharing them on the web with students/parents. It also contains features to monitor and compare grades with the class. The software is available for Windows and Mac, and there is also an iPad app for added portability.

Good Features:

• Dashboard-style display of student information and grades
• Graph to compare individual student scores with the class for each assignment
• Customizable columns with filters
• Weighted, automatically calculated grades
• Available on multiple platforms, including mobile (iPad)
• View detailed information about students (name, email, demographics)
• Easy method of taking attendance that could be paired with attendance-related grading policies
• Detailed, user-defined assignments with ability to make notes on grades
• Easily shared on the web for parents or students to view
• Multiple gradebooks can be kept, separated by tabs

Bad Features:

• Features split between multiple different applications within a package distributed to a school
• Rosters are created and changed through an administrator, not the teacher
• Private scores don’t count towards average in student reports

Missing Features:

• No ability to import rosters through excel or other sources
• Cannot add students individually or remove them
• Rows aren’t customizable – only listed by students in varying orders
• Can’t group students in hierarchical way
• Columns can’t be broken into hierarchy either (no subcolumns)
• Nothing for extra credit or late policies
• No integration with a student submission system
• Inability to recalculate grades based on a curve
• No student grade predictions feature
