EMS Campus is designed specifically for use in a University environment to provide class and event room assignment. It provides a full suite of tools designed specifically to facilitate ease of use in common University situations.
EMS Campus' core software is Windows-only, but the web component of it is compatible with all major browsers and operating systems.
Good Features:
- prevents double bookings but can allow for special cases
- clean graphical view of schedules
- departments can specify customizable course preferences such as seating type or room equipment
- provides an easy interface for scheduling one-time or recurring events around room availabiltiy
- offers graphical click-and-drag schedule adjustment in addition to automatic schedule generation
- Authorized users can submit room requests or create self-service reservations directly from the web
- Visitors can browse a building's schedule in list or calendar form and get facility information
- Supports mobile web access
- Integrates with Microsoft Outlook
- Scalable from building-level to full campus-level and beyond
- Can roll previous schedules forward into new terms
Bad Features:
- slightly feature-bloated for use as just a course scheduler
- core software is Windows-only
Missing Features:
- doesn't track instructor course preferences
