GradeBookWizard is a highly developed web-based tool that targets teachers,
students, parents, and school administrators. The tool at a district or school
level allows grading criteria, such as grade scale percentages to be standardized
across all classes. There is also an email integration which is a requirement not
specifically defined by the Grading Tool. This feature would allow even more
efficiency in talking to professors. Even though the tool is strictly web-based,
it offers a live update of grades and assignments for students.
Overall, the GradeBookWizard provides an outstanding amount of features that
are considered requirements of the Grader Tool.
Good Features:
-
communicate with the teacher directly through the app
-
UI is not clustered; easy access for both students, parents, teachers, and administrators
-
school-wide grading standards
-
full support for instructor's rubrics
-
secure logins
-
email integration
Bad Features:
-
needs internet connection
-
students are unable to see their rank among classmates
-
have to manually import and export student information
-
no option to expand certain categories to see perhaps a specific
question on a final
Missing Features:
-
graphs and charts to visually see grades of all students
-
extra credit options
-
sophisticated filtered viewing
-
instructors have no freedom in creating new tabs or directories; it's preset
with the tool
