Winx is a tutorial and presentation tool that focuses mainly on creating animated and interactive software demo and training. Winx's authoring implementation is very untraditional, since it creates video or flash tutorials instead of simple text based ones. One way that an author can create a tutorial in Winx is by capturing a series of screen actions, such as loading a file in some program, and adding text to explain what is going on. Winx also has several other input and output methods, such as up loading your own files in the program, or out putting the file into flash.

Overall, Winx provides an non-traditional way of creating a tutorial. It demonstrates a level of authoring control that allows the author to make a tutorial look and feel how they want, but the lack of options such as quiz generation and straight text pulls away from it.
