1.5.6 Powerpoint
Powerpoint is a niffty presentation program by Microsoft, that is usually found with Microsoft Office bundle.
The software was first developed and released in 1987 for the Apple Macintosh, but have since evolved with
more features to be fit for both casual use and professional use. To this day, Powerpoint is used by many, ranging
from simple school project/assignments to Company Meetings. Powerpoint definately has its pros, but it has its cons too
Good Features
- With the 2007 release, Powerpoint has a brand new User Interface for more friendly approach for casual users to
easily create a suitable and workable presentation.
- While scrolling through changes within the UI, changes are made immediately without having to keep on going back
to the options to make another change.
- Able to copy data from Excell and automatically create a graph
- Wide variety of themes, colors, SmartArt, and fonts to use to look profesisonal
- Able to save presentation in PDF and XPS format
- Works for both Macs and PC's
The Not-So Good Features
- Some of the more advanced features in the UI are harder to find, as the simpler
features are prioritized.
- Need to purchase LIVE MEETING if you want to use Powerpoint to share with others
your presentation online, or to hold meetings online, or to record a session both visually or by audio.
- Is expensive piece of software
