1.5.1: WhenToWork

WhenToWork is an employee-scheduling software designed to generate schedules according to working day/time preferences of a manually-entered database of employees. At its core, WhenToWork seeks to simplify an administrator's duties by providing a system by which employees can be automatically assigned shifts, and through which they may subsequently trade shifts with other employees. While a manager must still approve these schedule swaps, much of the busy-work is left to employees and WhenToWork.

This software allows for easy-to-understand, graphical representations of employee schedule according to a multitude of sorting criteria. From here, an administrator can easily "drag and drop" shifts into various holes in the schedule, as well as select employees to fill other schedule-gaps according to their time preferences.

Administrators can also send department-wide messages to employees, as well as post bulletins for other employees to view when they login to view their schedule.

All in all, WhenToWork represents a solid scheduling program that seems to achieve its goal of making schedule-administration much more efficient and easy.
