3.2. Qualitative System Characteristics

Security
Security is of medium importance to our program.  Workspaces can be password protected to a list of administrators, but this could just as easily be done on a computer by restricting access to the file the workspace is stored in.  The idea behind locking the workspace is so that other people cannot mess with the schedule.  This is important, but the information itself does not need security.

Privacy
The workspace and the data within it is not private.  It is able to be opened read-only by anyone.

Sophistication
The instructor web interface and the student feedback web interface are designed for less sophisticated users.  The main application is geared toward a user with a bit more experience, but is still fairly easy to use.  All operations can be preformed with a mouse, other than filling in text boxes which are generally no more complicated that filling in a name.
