2.3. Viewing and Editing Course Information

When the Course Mode is selected, by clicking the Book Icon on the top Category Tool Bar, a new window will pop up entitled "Courses". This is where the user can manage all the courses that are offered this quarter. Assuming that the courses database is empty, this window looks like Figure 2.3-1. Most of this window consists of the large table where all the courses in the course database are displayed. The top row consists of headers that describe the information about the courses. This list of courses can be sorted by any of the headers by simply clicking once on the header. This process is better described in the "Finding (or Filtering) an existing course" part of this section.

This window also includes several features to help the user manage and search the database of courses. At the top of the window is the "Filter" tool. This is a great feature for finding specific classes or types of classes. At the bottom of the window are the "New", "Edit", and "Delete" features. All of these tools are described in this section and listed below.
