2.4.3 Filtering Which Instructors are Listed

 

When the user is navigating through the list of instructors, as shown in Figure 2.4.3-1, they have the option to filter the list. Filtering the list will narrow down the number of displayed instructors, and allow the user to find specific instructors in the database. Filtering is important when looking for an instructor to delete or edit. The user can use the drop down menu to filter by last name, first name, middle name, or degree. As the user enters in parts of a string to filter by, the list is continuously updated, as shown in Figure 2.4.3-2.
