2.2 Program Usage

After starting the program the administrator should set up the master workspace.  These are the main steps:

From this point on the administrator will be manipulating the schedule via the edit or update model.  To do this he or she will be using instructor preferences, student feedback, and other feedback from the schedule generation.  To do this the administrator will be editing the four categories: courses, instructors, classrooms, and schedule. The administrator can switch between categories in three different ways.  The category toolbar (shown below), the menu bar, or by clicking on an already open window.

The category toolbar is a floating window that is always be started with the tool.  To bring a category to the active view, the user can click once on the icon in the category toolbar.  If multiple workspaces are open, the category toolbar will take the user to the selected category in the active workspace.
