Unitime is a calendar scheduling tool that seems to be close to the specifications we are trying to meet. It has a lot of functionality that makes it able to provide wanted schedules. It has all the basic requirements of classes, teachers, courses, and other things needed as well as extra things like facility requirements and tools.

This program seems like a good example to follow and to improve upon with our own design.

Good Features:

• A java based tool and can be used on any system
• All the basic scheduling functionality is provided
• Matches much of the criteria of the wanted scheduler

Bad Features:

• Importing/exporting is not supported
• Do not need to know the class details
• Designator features are not required by our specs
• The calendar color scheme and font is not as ascetically pleasing as it could be

Missing Features:

• The option to have teachers select the lectures and the classes they want to teach seems to be missing
• Does not have admin tool functionality
• Does not have view filtering options
• Needs to have work time units to determine the professors class time
