1.5.1. Visual Classroom
Scheduler
The Visual Classroom
Scheduler is a Windows program designed for scheduling, costing and resource
management of all teaching sections, departments and campus management for all
levels of education.
Good Features:
- Ability to sort the
view by:
- Rooms, Teachers, Subjects,
Class
- A certain time span
- A certain number of columns
and rows
- Master files (Don't really
understand this sorting)
- Patterns of the schedule
- A certain week
- Statistics for the schedule
- Ability to set Room Capacity,
Annual Cost/Year, Start/Finish Weeks, Teacher and Subject
- Drag and drop editing interface
- Different editing modes for
easier editing depending on how the user wants to edit
- A search function to find
something in the schedule with the specified attributes
- Handles hours per week (could
be translated to WTUs)
Bad Features:
- A bad graphical interface that
is unpleasing to the eyes
- Has a glitch where a window
would pop up once more after cancel is pressed
- Seems like this has a high
learning curve to learn how to use the program
- Colors do not seem to mean
anything
Missing Features:
- Multiple tabs for schedule
viewing
- Constraints and preferences
- A better visualization for
editing schedules
