The Test Tool Project

Test Tool is a comprehensive software system developed by students in California Polytechnic State University's software engineering courses to create and manange educational examinations. The tool generates, according to user-selectable criteria, tests comprised of questions in a variety formats, allows secure online test delivery and collection, and performs automatic grading where feasible.

The Test Tool project is organized into the following directories:

• requirements -- user-level functional requirements for the project
• specification -- formal specification of the functional requirements
• prototype -- operational prototype, with limited functionality
• design -- architectural software design
• implementation -- implementation source and executables
• testing -- testing plans and results
• administration -- administrative and managerial information
• documentation -- audience-specific documentation, such as users manual and installation instructions
