The GNAT Project

The GNAT TestTool program is a program-based test tool to assist instructors in efficiently generating reliable tests. It contains features such as automatic test creation from a database of questions, six question-types, the ability to create templates for tests given on a regular basis, and the ability to import and export questions. .

The GNAT project is organized into the following directories:

• requirements -- user-level functional requirements for the project
• specification -- formal specification of the functional requirements
• prototype -- operational prototype, with limited functionality
• design -- architectural software design
• implementation -- implementation source and executables
• testing -- testing plans and results
• administration -- administrative and managerial information
• documentation -- audience-specific documentation, such as users manual and installation instructions
