1.5.2 EduSoft
Edusoft uses a web-based platform form to help teachers, school district, administrators, and parents assess students by tracking performance through different types of tests. Tests are generated by a database of questions provided that meet specified level standards.
Good Features:
- Assessment results
- Resources for teachers to use in creating tests
- Available tutorials
- Generate review sheets and individualized homework based on test results
- Platform independent.
- Example test templates
- Ability to add in graphics and equations to certain questions
- Integrates statistics of grades
Bad Features:
- Not a standalone product since it requires the eLearning environment or framework, and all resources accessible by students is hosted at the eLearning database online
- Doesn't allow for teachers to write notes on the graded tests emailed back to students
- Only allows email-returned tests to be surveys or multiple-choice
- Only the most expensive version allows question database to be stored locally
- Can only auto grade with scantrons and expensive scanning machinery
Missing Features:
- Ability to customize question-type
- Question history information including "last used"
- Ability to launch external programs (such as an IDE) to help answer questions
- No online distribution
- No timing/proctoring abilities
