Atrixware TestPro Developer is a test-making program designed for
use with the eLearning environment developed by the same company.
eLearning is an environment that allows teachers to to host online
course resources and tests so students can easily access course
information from anywhere.
Good Features:
- Allows the basics, including printed tests, standard HTML tests with emailed results, and question banks.
- Exports test questions to Excel Spreadsheets or XML, so it can save a database of questions.
- Other than HTML, can create tests in ASP or PHP as well.
- Allows for proctored classroom tests and distance learning tests.
- Has some nice pre-constructed courseware and tests.
- Has "profile domains" for collaborative development.
- Can integrate with WebCT grader program.
- Overall is very sleek and powerful.
Bad Features:
- It isn't exactly a standalone product. It requires the eLearning environment or framework, and all resources accessible by students is hosted at the eLearning database online.
- Doesn't allow for teachers to write notes on the graded tests emailed back to students.
- Only allows email-returned tests to be "surveys" or multiple-choice.
- Only the most expensive version allows question database to be stored locally.
Missing Features:
- Ability to customize question-type.
- Question history information including "last used".
- Ability to launch external programs (such as an IDE) to help answer questions.
