Meeting notes: (please read the section(s) with your name, if not others) Tuan, I would like you to set up a www directory on your cobra account (or any other of your choice) and have the secretaries give you their meeting notes for publishing. These notes are going to be imperative throughout the quarter, and should be made available as soon as possible. Once you have created the directory for the notes, please send the group the link. Bryon & Trang: Compose your meeting notes electronically and send them to either Randy or Peter (you may elect to have Bryon always sending to Randy and Trang always sending to Peter, or vice versa) as soon as you possiblycan. Be sure to include the date and meeting begin and end time in these notes, as well as those in attendance, those excused, and those "not-excused". You should probably create a template for these notes so we have consistancy between them. Randy & Peter: When you receive meeting notes in the electronic form, translate them, as necessary, into HTML form so they can be immediately published to the web for viewing. Once you have done this, please send, or make available, the final HTML-ready document(s) to Tuan so he can put them on the website. Tuan: Once you receive a document from Randy or Peter you should put that document in the www directory, maybe under a meetingnotes subdirectory (for the time being) so we can browse the information as necessary (this will be temporary until we get the nice little batch file to help you create all the subdirectories necessary for this class).

NOTE: You should not publish any document to the web until it has been passed through Randy or Peter, thus you should only receive such documents from Randy or Peter. Quan: Please review the meeting notes once they are published and give your "professional" input as to how they look. The meeting notes aren't as important as other things, but if you get into the habit of checking all online documents, then we can be sure all docs are "aesthetically" pleasing. Also, if you have a different recommendation for the meeting notes template, please make your opinions known very quickly so the template can be changed if necessary, as well as any previously created docs from that template. If you feel so inclined, I don't think the secretaries would mind if you created a template for them. Otherwise, wait and see what they come up with. As far as the research groups are concerned, here are the assignments since I haven't heard from anyone: 1. GUI prototyping tool -- Randy and Rick 2. story board / presentation tool -- Bryon, Quan, Peter 3. GUI building tool -- Tuan and Trang Also, we have a request from Dr. Fisher to research any new educational institution discoveries with regard to this type of tool. Since we only have three grad students, and Bryon is pretty strapped for time right now, will either Peter or Randy volunteer this research? Please let me know. Thanks all, and have a great day.

Rick
