Scenario 2 - Sensitizing Objects
One of the identifying features of the prototyping tool is
the ability to sensitize objects to simulate actual functionality. This
scenario will demonstrate how a user would go about sensitizing an object
to Linkto another layer. In other words, once the object is depressed,
the current layer will no longer be active, but the Linkto layer
will gain focus. This scenario starts with a canvas (default), 2 layers,
and an object on at least one layer (to be sensitized). This information
is detailed in the "Canvas Navigator", and would look like the following:
Screen 1:
Screen 2:
To sensitize the object, in this example, the user will right-click
the pointing device on the name of the object to be sensitized. Right-clicking
will produce a small menu of options; one of which is Link To . . ..
Screen 3:
Now, the user will left-click on the Link To . . . option
which will produce the following new floating window:
Screen 4:
This window is used to navigate to the location the object should
be sensitized with. In this example, the user selects Layer2 as
the destination, thus giving focus to that layer.
Screen 5:
Once the user has navigated to the destination place for the
sensitization - in this example, Layer2- the user selects This
Layer in the new floating menu to complete the sensitization of the
object.
Screen 6:
Finally, the user can easily see this sensitization in the "Canvas
Navigator". The Link To . . . sensitization, as seen below, has
been added as a sublevel of the object that has been sensitized.
