1. Do you want limitations concerning students?
2. What sort of authentication system were you thinking of? (Encryption)
3. How much student interaction do you want?
4. Do you want an animated bar for determining the weight of assignments? How exactly do you want this to look like? With a manual entry to enter in the weights?
5. What platform should this program run in?
6. What version should a student be able to view?
7. Will students have to go on the web to view the grades or use a student version of the software to view the grade?
8. Email integration? How much?
9. What sort of options do you want for weighting assignments?
10. Web product versus standalone product - which would be preferred?
    
11. What degree of customization of the interface do you want?
12. Are there any specific formats that you want to be able to save the grade book as?
13. Who is the paying customer? Is it the end-users themselves or the computer department?
14. Did you want voiced data entry?
15. Did you want to be able to highlight data and then to automatically plot it?
