End of Quarter Project Grading Procedures

  1. In order to receive full credit a project submission must pass the Web-CAT automated grader before the due date.  Partial credit is awarded for late submissions as described in the syllabus.

  2. In order for your submission to be recorded as "complete" you must submit your Time Log.  Even if your program passed Web-Cat, a score isn't recorded on Blackboard until the instructor receives your Time Log.

  3. The Web-CAT due date for Project 8 is Friday Dec 4 at 5:00pm.  You may submit your Time Log for project 8 during office hours or at the final exam meeting.

  4. The absolute deadline for submitting any Time Log is 3:00pm of Friday of final exam week (Dec 11).  The instructor will be in his office until 3:00 to accept hand deliveries of Time Logs for programs that have passed Web-CAT.

  5. In order to receive a letter grade in the course all eight projects must have passed Web-CAT and you must have submitted your Time Logs.  If this requirement is not met you will receive an Incomplete for the course.

  6. The department requires that when an Incomplete grade is assigned that the student agree to a "contract" which specifies a schedule for finishing the outstanding work.   In this course the standard Incomplete Contract is as follows:
The Web-CAT automated grader will remain active over Winter Break (except downtime for maintenance) as well as January of Winter Quarter 2010.  Web-Cat will be turned off for all projects at 6:00pm on January 31.   Time Log forms will be accepted by delivering them in person to the instructor during regularly scheduled office hours until February 4, 2010.  If you have not made up your outstanding work by this time your Incomplete grade will automatically be turned into an F.

  7. You may request and arrange details of a "customized" version of the Incomplete Contract over email or during office hours before Friday Dec 11.
