While We Were Out

Signs and other weirdness encountered while out wine tasting on the Central Coast. Well, OK, some things were found on the Cal Poly campus in San Luis Obispo.

Someone in the Los Olivos area posted a sign on a telephone pole warning of their lost falcon. If you find it, what the hell do you do?
Across the road from Babcock Winery on Highway 246 between Buellton and Lompoc is a pet boarding place. If it were my business, I think I would give it a clever name rather than name it after myself.
The western-most two miles of Highway 46 near Cambria have been adopted by a group with an interesting name. One wonders if they ever actually meet or do anything as a group. (Loners of America)
On Highway 46 east, between Martin-Weyrich and Eberle wineries is another interesting adoption sign. The spelling is wrong, but everyone who sees this imagines Jed with his truck, picking up trash.
On West Ormonde Road between Price Canyon Road and Noyes Road near Pismo Beach, someone hopes this sign will discourage trespassers.
This sign has been up along Hwy 227 for several months now. I just had to call to find out what exactly a "cow emergency" is. It turns out that if a cow gets out, they would like people to call. Seems to me that "Loose Cow" would have said it better.
This is actually in the basement of the Computer Science building at Cal Poly, or was. They have an area for equipment they are discarding. I call this, "Neutered Mice."
This picture, and the one that follows, are of left-behind student busts near Dexter Hall at Cal Poly. I prefer to call this, "Students who talked too much in class and were turned to stone and buried up to their heads."
These are students who cheated in class, and suffered a similar fate.
