Justin Thomas - 471 Project

The world has been taken over by evil bunnies. Jump over pits, avoid the evil bunnies, and collect energy orbs to fuel your flight away from this doomed world!

Controls:

• WASD to move
• Space to jump (hold to jump higher)
• J to boost (hold to boost for longer)

These blue orbs are your ticket out of here. If you don't collect all of them, you won't have enough energy to lift off at the end of the level!

Bunny in your way? Jump on it to extinguish the horrifying creature!

If you see a red bunny, stay far away! These devils are too strong to kill by jumping on their heads!

Level 2 looks exactly the same as level 1 except for lighting, you say? Hah! The darkness must be getting to you, there's no way a game developer would be that lazy.

Learning stuff

• Collision detection (axis-aligned bounding boxes, and vertical cylinders)
• Shadow mapping
  • Framebuffers, how to render to a texture and then reference the texture later
  • Geometry shaders?!? (Helpful for making cubemap for point light shadows)
• Other lighting stuff
  • Distance attenuation - necessary to make the low-light scene in level 2
  • Emissive light - bloom would have helped make the effect more convincing
