Army Men: Green and Tan

Army Men: Green and Tan

Description:

G and T is a 3D board game based on the idea of toy plastic army men. Each side has various pieces similar to chess pieces. Each behaves differently. Attack are ranged (i.e. no jumping over other pieces) and movement in constricted by the range of the type of piece (no constraint on direction). The game is turned based and “requires” two players. Kill all of the opponents pieces and you win!

How to play:

The game is quite simple. You move one piece and attack with one piece each turn. This can be accomplished in any order. To change between modes (selection, movement, attack) you simply right click. You do not have to attack or move either. To end your turn press D. Navigating the board is simple as well. Use the arrow keys to rotate and slide the board. You can zoom in and out with the Z and X keys respectively. The attributes of each type of piece is as follows:

Background:

When I was in 7th grade a made a board game for a class project. I used plastic army men and came up with a game that was actually quite fun to play. My teacher kept it as an example and I never got it back. This was the inspiration for making this game.
