This animation takes place in a museum in which a dusty gargoyle statue never gets any attention as it is placed right next to the two most popular (and shiny) statues of the museum. Then one day an earthquake occurs, leaving the gargoyle as the only remaining statue, and therefore the most popular.
This project utilizes the Bullet Physics Engine for modeling the physical interactions between the fractured components. The podium fractures were generating utilizing my thesis, which takes 2D textures called fracture maps and fractures the 3D mesh accordingly.
