SOFTER is a racing game in which the player controls the space ship as seen on the left. The player is required to complete a number of laps in the shortest time on a given track filled with obstacles of varying size and difficulty.

The space ship's orientation is controlled using the 'W', 'A', 'S', and 'D' keys. 'W' pushes the nose down while 'S' pulls up. 'A' and 'D' control the roll of the space ship in their respective directions.

Collisions with obstacles in the tube result in a total loss of power to your ship. It will cause you to come to a full and complete stop and force you to travel around it. This will result in a longer time and poorer score on the race. So, avoid those obstacles and maintain your speed!
