The only ways to distribute iPhone/iPod apps sanctioned by Apple without either putting it on the iTunes App Store or through an "Ad-Hoc" method which requires your iPhone or iPod Touch's UUID.

This can be obtained in iTunes by connecting your device to your computer, opening iTunes, and clicking on the "Serial Number" text on the device's screen in iTunes. This will then switch it over to the "Identifier," you copy this by hitting command-c (⌘- c) in MacOS, ctrl + c in Windows.
