1.1. Problem Statement

EClass addresses a couple of key problems that exist in the academic community:

  1. to provide an instructor to easily host an online lecture with presentation, while also giving students an intuitive toolset to keep track of these lectures

  2. to provide a live feedback capability, mimicking a clasroom setting, thus reducing the impact on students.

  3. provides the ability for students to creat their own independent study groups
While there is similar software in the market that address these problems, many fail to address a couple of specific problems, that EClass takes into consideration:

  1. keeping track of attendance for classes

  2. providing an interactive whitebaord for students to collaborate with

  3. archiving and editing old lectures

In addition to these features, EClass also incorporates a feature set requested by the customer. These features offer to enhance the students' and instructors' experience alike, by providing the following:

  1. the ability to add multiple drawable layers to lecture material

  2. the ability to appoint students or T.A.'s as instructors for a lecture or study group
