1.5.1. TestMoz
One test generator I found was TestMoz a web driven test generator that was written by a student. An instructor simply will go to the website and create a
test, then add questions to it later with an interface. This interface allows the instructor to add point values, and change the type of question to either
multiple choice, true/false, or fill in the blank. If ease of use and quick test deployment are requirements then this application will be able to provide
it. Overall TestMoz may provide an acceptable amount of features, however it is lacking in the requirements specified for the test bank.
Good Features:
-
Clean and easy to navigate user interface
-
Web driven, allowing teachers to generate the test quickly, and users to take the test quickly with no extra software.
-
Security feature to lock down test so random people may not access it without a password.
-
Report given on testing performance.
Bad Features:
-
Poor management of tests, if an instructor forgets the URL to the test it is unrecoverable.
-
Poorly placed warnings about when the user will navigate away from the page.
-
Certain features such as longer tests require a subscription.
-
Unreliable hosting, development, and support.
Missing Features:
-
Automatic test generation from a bank of test questions.
-
Support for images in test.
