2.3.3. Editing a single Question in the Question Bank

The scenario in this section illustrates an instructor user viewing a single question in the shared question bank. The instructor user is brought to this screen when the user selects a question on the question bank and then selected "Edit".

Summary of fields in a question:

• The instructor user is presented with a single question from the shared question bank. All of the attributes are displayed to the instructor user.
• The Question ID is the unique identifier of the question. It is generated by the Test Tool program.
• Question Name is the name that the instructor assigns to the question and is not unique.
• The author field is the name of the instructor that created the question, and is retrived from the Test Tool.
• The estimated time is in minutes and is the instructors estimate on how long the question should take to complete.
• Keywords are subjects that the instructor assigns to a question that represent the type of question it is Other instructor users will be able to search for the question using its keywords.
• Question Type indicates the type of question, possible question types include: True or False, Code based, Multiple Choice, or Short Answer.
• The question field is then displayed with the question that was entered in previously when the question was created. Question specific implementation is described below.
• After the instructor user selects the 'Submit' Button, the changes are saved, and the database is updated.
