2.4.4 Viewing Schedule Attributes

There are various attributes that show how well a generated schedule agrees with various constraints and preferences. These attributes can be viewed when viewing a schedule. In Figure 2.5.2, the initial schedule view interface, administrators can select the "View Attributes" button to display the attributes dialog box shown in Figure 2.4.4.1 below.

The "Constraints Score" is a score from 0-100% that shows how well the schedule meets all of the constraints listed in Section 2.4.1 Constraints. The "Preference Score" is a total score from 0-100% that shows how well the schedule is meeting each individual instructors preferences. The table in the dialog box shows the "Fairness" score for each individual instructor. The "Fairness" score for an instructor shows how well the schedule meets the specific instructor's preferences. The overall Preference Score is the average of these scores. If a score is not adequate, it will be displayed in red, while good scores will be displayed in green.
