Moodle is a widlely used Open Source Course Management System. Moodle has many features one of which is a Quiz module. The Quiz module is kept up-to-date with new features being added.

The Quiz module supports a variety of features that allow for simple unique quiz creation.

Good Features:

• covers the basics fine
• has a variety of question types
• has a question bank for the reusability of questions
• Quiz result statistics for indiviual students and all entries
• visual media support
• automated grading for most question types including short answer
• free open source software
• third-party plugin support

Bad Features:

• only available as part of course scheduling software
• must add questions one at a time or multiple random questions
• simple hierarchical categorization

Missing Features:

• no coding question support
• no question statistics (e.g. time, difficulty)
