1.1 Problem Statement

The general problems to be solved by the Tutoring tool are the following:

  1. to provide a non-threatening, easy to use interactive tutoring tool in which the student can receive instant feedback on progress through teacher made lessons
  2. to provide teachers the ability to create tutoring lessons for their classes, while offering them the ability to track student progress through their lessons
  3. to have a common repository where student information, teacher lessons and class information can be easily stored and retrieved for the tutorial program

While some of these problems have been solved by other means and programs, no single program has solved all of these problems. In addition, no program we have yet found will allow a teacher to guide a single person or group through a lesson and CSTutor will allow an instructor to do this with ease.
