1.1 Problem Statement

The problems that the eClass software tool attempts to solve are the following:

  1. Provide a refined tool that allows professors to create, present, edit and distribute electronic interactive lectures.
  2. Allow students to participate in the lecture and give them the editing tools to portray their ideas and questions with more clarity.
  3. Increase the interaction between students and instructors thus adding a greater value to the factor that lectures play in the learning process.

The goals stated above have been addressed before with a combination of different software tools. However, no software before was designed to include all the features that eClass has. By including all these tools in a single package eClass becomes the do-it-all solution that hopes to become the standard software used in future lectures.
