2.3.3. Slide Breaks
Only the instructor can edit slide breaks for the public view.
2.3.3.1. Generating Slide Breaks
Slide break generation occurs whenever an event occurs that alters the size or amount of lecutre text displayed in the slide viewer. The system first divides the lecture into sections marked by user defined slide breaks. If the user defines the section type as scrolling, then the system displays that section as a single slide with a scrollbar. Otherwise slide breaks are inserted such that, a slide is composed of lecture elements such that a lecture element of level n is never visible with another lecture element of level n, unless they all fit on the same slide and are children of the same parent at level n - 1.
2.3.3.2. Removing Slide Breaks
To remove a slide break, an instructor clicks on the slidebreak in the outline preview sidebar and selects "Edit->Delete" from the menu. In response, the system removes the slidebreak and converts the two slides that surrounded the slide break into a scrolling slide. If one of the slides is being presented in the public view, then the system updates the public view.
