1.5.4 aTutor

ATutor is a web based class organization system that is used through a web interface. The system is a very good and organized repository and allows additional tools to be added to the system to increase functionality. This has the potential to allow separate users and/or developers to customize each version of ATutor.

Good Features
Easy to add new modules to expand the capabilities of the system
Very organized
Web based application allows access almost anywhere
Great features to allow students to communicate outside of class

Bad Features
Current system for live lectures and reviewing previous lectures is clunky and difficult to navigate
Requires a central server to host a large amount of data
Most features are geared toward connecting students that are in different locations, not for presenting lectures in person using a specialized tool

Missing Features
Because of the ability to expand upon the tool by adding different modules, nothing is truly missing, just hasn’t been developed
Interactive whiteboard
