1. Introduction
This document defines requirements for an Electronic Classroom.
The tool provides functions to easily collaborate and convey information in an interactive presentation environment.
Some of the features included in the Electronic Classroom are:
- Lecture preparation tools
- XHTML support
- Slides with scrollbars to support more information per slide
- Drawing and diagraming tools to create useful graphics
- Easy lecture presentation
- All editing tools viewable on source computer while presenting
- Presentation is broadcasted to all students in the session
- Student/Teacher Interaction
- Students able to electronically raise their hand
- Teacher can give students access to drawing on the main presentation view to more acurately portray questions
- Administration
- Teacher has complete control over permissions for viewing and editing of presentations by students
- Attendance automatically updated based on signed-in students
- Remote education
- Students able to attend lectures by signing in over the internet
- All functionalities that in-class students have are retained for remote students
