3.1 System Performance

3.1.1 Effectively Instantaneous Commands

eCclass is not designed to perform computationally intensive commands. Therefore all program commands fall into this category, as any command in the eClass should appear to be instantaneous to the user. Any delays that may be encountered are not the cause of the eClass software but are dependent on external factors.

3.1.2 Computational Commands

The eClass does not perform computationally intensive commands like a scheduler program might. The purpose of this program is to be a live connection in a class room environment, and therefore delays are not acceptable.

3.1.2 Maximum Size Requirements

Several components are limited in the scope of the eClass program. The following assumptions are used in design of this software:
