Tablix is a high school time table generator. It is a viable and active open source project. Tablix itself is only an engine, it has no GUI.

Good Features:

• Capable of solving complex timetabling problems
• HTML formatted output
• Extendable through creation of new plug-ins

Bad Features:

• No Graphical User Interface
• Complicated restraint system
• Difficult to use
• Documentation doesn't isn't up to date with the current version
• Takes to long to generate schedules, on the order of hours

Missing Features:

• No Graphical User Interface
• Doesn't facilitate teachers inputing their own preferences
• Doesn't simplify the task of schedule generation
• Doesn't enable students to view the planned offerings for upcoming terms
